Things are in full swing here at QI2. We have several sizable projects on the board and they are quite the variety. We are looking at cosmetics, toys, hunting equipment, steel frames, filters and a bunch of others. Now that everyone has set their budgets the orders are coming in at a good pace. We couldn't be happier about that. We are still working through a few government contracts as well, and hope that we see more of those in the future. As far as fun stuff we are getting ready to have our early season fishing tournament, which should happen right after ice out when the steel head trout are in full run. I look forward to nailing a 10 pounder at my favorite outlet at opening light. Meanwhile, we hope you meet with exceptional prosperity this year. New Year

Well now that the New Year has passed here in America it will soon be upon China so we will have to hurry to get our projects ready for our customers before the celebration. On February 7th it will go from being the year of the pig to being the year of the rat. China will pretty well be shut down for the next couple of weeks after that, but we still have stuff in the works with the US end of the business. We are looking out for our friends at the Veterans Administration and just wrapped up a job for the Air Force. This is an interesting business. We get to partner into business ventures in so many industries that have so many needs. We have also begun working with some new business partners to help our capabilities even more! Christmas is coming

Holy smokes. Where did the year go? The company has been busy as can be. Not only have we been training with our local PTAC group to enhance our government contract knowledge, but we've also started winning contracts. We have quite a roster of subcontractors that are experts in their respective fields, and we are continually adding to that roster to give our government clients the best possible products and services out there. As for our international business we are always ready to help our clients do those make/buy decisions and should they need product built overseas, we guide them through the process. Right now we have a couple of interesting projects in the works for mid-west and west coast clients that should make them even more successful when they are completed. On the home front the mad shopping spree for Christmas gifts for our household is in full swing with hours of wrapping ahead. And to think it only takes meager seconds to unwrap a gift. No matter what, it will be fun and we will be able to get to visit loved ones to celebrate the season. So Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, or just a season of good holiday cheer for every nation to everyone from us at Quality International Imports.

Looks like fall is in full swing and so is business. We are currently enjoying an influx of prospects at both our government end and commercial end. Don't worry, we still have room for more. We'd love to hear from you and see what other projects we can get involved in. We recently heard from some inventors that had some wonderful ideas they wanted to get rolling in China since they didn't have the capital to start their own facilities here. What with renting out a brick and mortar space and buying the equipment and raw materials as well as getting expensive labor to make the product, they found out it was much more economical to go through the Chinese market where labor is much less expensive and the building and equipment are already set up for them. If they have engineering issues, we even have a full engineering staff to help them out. With a little patience and a little capital they can maximize their opportunities and you will probably see their products hitting the US markets in a few months. Just think; if you are trying to ship as little as $50K of product into the US you can be in the same situation. Now that is really a bargain for any entrepreneur. Fall is here

Well fall is here and that means back to school. Sher and I are taking classes in Mandarin this semester. You are never too old to learn. We both wanted to do this for some time since our contacts in China are gracious enough to always speak English, we needed to be able to reciprocate. It has been sometime since taking a language for either of us, but our daughter is a whiz at it. She will be starting her Junior year at St. John Fisher College in the spring and will have six foreign languages under her belt by then. She speaks Spanish, French, Italian and Arabic, and is currently learning German and Mandarin. Maybe we'll get lucky and she will join the family business, but she still has a couple years to go in college at the least. Anyway, we are busy between the business and school, but our attention is always on our customer needs. 'Til next time.

Government Contractor

Hey our Government page is up. We are now looking at doing government contracting with federal, state and municipal entities. We are registered with the Central Contracting Register. Yes, even the government does importing. But for those agencies that do not, we have made a lot of domestic ties, and we sure do not mind matching the two together. We recently did some bidding with the EPA and response is positive. Our little company is also going through a lot of training with PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) in Rochester to better understand the government contracting processes. Our latest is for WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow) for EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Anyway, this is just a quick blurb to keep our patrons up to date. Catch you next time.

Well the website is finally up and running. With this I can let you know what is going on these days. I've been talking to a lot of people about slab granite and prefab vanity granite and getting a good many responses. It seems to be the hot item at the moment, but I am also exploring new inventions. Often times people come up with great ideas for inventions and even have patents, but have no capability to manufacture it. Here is where we can help with our network in mainland China. Not only can we get it made for you, but with a great price and great quality. One big concern people have is their product will be reverse engineered and a knock off product will appear on the market. While this is very rare it could happen, but we take precautions with you to safeguard your product. One way is to have different parts of the product made in different factories. Then when the product parts are complete the assembly can take place in the US. Thus parts are made at a cost savings, but security is the highest possible. If security is not an issue then the parts and assembly can occur in China and we will ship to wherever you want that product to go. Well that's the tip for this entry. More will follow in time.
